Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions’ Sacramento Environmental Group is looking for an Environmental Scientist or Planner to join our team with experience in the preparation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents and expertise preparing for hazard mitigation plans, local emergency management plans, risk and vulnerability assessments, general plans, and long - range planning documents that meet Federal, State, and local requirements. Under our team’s management direction, you will develop a strong working knowledge of NEPA and CEQA; research and write impact analyses for NEPA and CEQA documents, such as Initial Studies (IS), Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) / Environmental Impact Statements (EISs); develop content for planning documents; support small to medium projects under our team’s direction; and interact with municipal clients and regulatory agency partners. You will prepare, review, and edit environmental impact analyses for a variety of small to medium - sized urban and rural projects in the Sacramento and Bay Area and coordinate with Wood’s technical specialists. You will support meeting facilitation for stakeholder meetings, workshops, and public hearings. You will have a strong work ethic and be well - organized and detail - oriented to support project management tasks by tracking project deliverables, schedules, and project and task budgets; and grow our practice with proposal support and strategic marketing. We are a collaborative team of dedicated, hard - working, and solution - oriented environmental scientists, planners, analysts, and GIS specialists and you will receive mentoring from experts in the environmental and hazard mitigation planning field Key Responsibilities
