Our Inova Patient Service Center is seeking a FULL-TIME Laboratory Technical Assistant Float PSC
Work Location: Team member for Fairfax Family Practices in the NW region of Northern Virginia

Some of the duties include:
  • Performs proper specimen collection or blood products, by confirming patient/donor ID, collecting specimens in proper tubes, utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques, and accurately labeling the specimens/blood products to ensure accurate patient results.
  • Provides excellent patient and customer service by using AIDET principles and assuring the correctness and quality of technical information and directions provided to customers is appropriate.
  • Performs registration and reviews billing information accurately and efficiently in order to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manages specimen accessioning and processing accurately and efficiently to provide quality specimens for laboratory testing.
