Research Chemist III (2002261) - Iselin, NJ
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of zeolite-based catalysts for environmental applications, with specific emphasis on diesel emission catalysts. The key application is selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in diesel vehicles. This involves synthesis, modification, and fundamentals of zeolitic materials, and the preparation of novel catalysts using these zeolites. The team works closely with other research groups towards the development of new catalysts. There is also strong collaboration with catalyst scale-up teams for the transfer of technology from research scale to commercial scales.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Leveraging your advanced educational background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or similar discipline combined with your related laboratory experience, you will work on zeolite synthesis and catalyst design to develop new concepts and materials for zeolite SCR technologies with substantial long-term business impact.
Your strong capability to drive innovation will be a valued asset as you generate ideas on how to achieve targets through your deep familiarity with multiple related disciplines, technologies, and processes.
Working independently with minimal supervision, you will hypothesize, design experiments, and draw conclusions.
