Lab Tech Assistant 2-PSC

Performs proper specimens collection or blood products, by confirming patient/donor ID, collecting specimens in proper tubes, utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques, and accurately labeling the specimens/blood products to ensure accurate patient results. Provides excellent patient and customer service by using AIDET principles and assuring the correctness and quality of technical information and directions provided to customers is appropriate. Performs registration and reviews billing information accurately and efficiently in order to ensure regulatory compliance. Manages specimen accessioning and processing accurately and efficiently to provide quality specimens for laboratory testing. Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with team members to optimize job performance and foster working relationships.
