Troubleshooting chemistry issues at the bench scale and applying corrective measures upon the development of kilogram processes
Execute laboratory scale synthetic operations for process troubleshooting
Conduct and document process optimization studies
Optimize processes that have been run on manufacturing scale
Plant/ production support
Independantly set up, monitor and run chemical reactions
Minimum bachelors or masters degree with 5+ years of industrial experience; Ph. D. with 3+ years of industrial experience.
Knowledge of technical transfer
Strong background in organic synthesis and route scouting/selection
Experience with multistep organic synthesis
Experience with literature searching
Experience with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated laboratory skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment
Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform multiple chemical reactions at once
Strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of chemical literature
Resourcefulness and initiative
